first of all, ORD loh.
that was for last week actually, but i was concentrating on the job hunting process which took up most of my time at home everyday. found a job and i'm grateful that my seniors are helping me out as i'm new. one of my senior is leaving very soon, i have to pick things up very quickly.. if not i'm gonna face a lot of trouble :(
so far my first "office environment" experience hasn't been very nice, hopefully the situation can improve and it'll be less frustrating when "work" is mentioned. sigh. hopes for the better.
baby, it's 6 days away! we're gonna be together for 6 months! time flies right?
i met you at the rink, and saw you wearing my skates.
we met for the first time, went to get christmas presents.
we went for our first movie together, at yishun gv.
we walked around northpoint countless times, holding your hands.
we spent 30 minutes at popular, snapping photos & bought a photo album.
we chat every night, in camp, at home, outside, anywhere.
we left each other at the airport, and it felt so good to see you when i've returned.
we quarrel, we argued, we cried, we forgave each other.
we ate sakae sushi, and haven't got the chance to try the strawberry smiles.
we sat on the playground slide, before i left for camp.
we called and texted each other, till our bill burst and i've gotten an M1 line.
we reminded each other to drink more water, take care of ourselves and be careful on the way out.
we strolled through marina square, suntec city, bugis, plaza singapura and marina barrage.
we always go towards the tail of the bus, and sit on the right side of the last row.
we snapped photos of our reflections, and us doing silly faces.
we sang together, though my singing wasn't good at all.
we laughed at each other, for being silly and funny.
we smile sneakily, as we thought of tickling each other.
we cooked fried rice, and ate watermelon for dinner.
we webcam-ed, and waved silly-ly at each other.
we took photos with poohie, and the other poohies too.
we skate together in the rink, going round and round till we're tired.
we looked at the light stick, and you were so cute when you look so happy.
...
...
...
it's not just you and i, but us... we.
and the list will go on and on :)
we'll remember all the happy moments, forget about those unhappy ones and learn to understand each other better from it.
baby, thanks for being so supportive of me.. you're an important person in my life, really. i miss you very much!! and baby, i love you!! :)

Window Safety Day
if you haven't noticed, today is one of the Window Safety Days. it's not a holiday though, but it reminds everyone to do some checks and maintenance to the casement windows in your house.
oct 04, there were 14 cases of fallen windows being reported. ever since then, new/revised regulations came into place and occurrences of such cases dropped to an average of 2 or less in 2006.
have you checked your windows yet? make sure it doesn't falls, else..

H1N1, Singapore.
71 close contacts on the same flight with the first confirmed H1N1 patient in Singapore, a 22-year-old female SMU student, were identified as of yesterday's night. Just few hours ago, another 3 confirmed cases were announced.
Since the outbreak, the virus has caused over 100 deaths and 13000 infections worldwide. The flu outbreak would be declared as a pandemic if the situation worsen in time to come.
As the H1N1 virus continue to spread, the economy is taking a hit from it as well. People would want to stay indoors as precautionary measure if the situation were to worsen. Food & Beverage, Entertainment, Tourism sectors and related, may foresee loss in patronage/profit.
The situation here seems to be under control. People are still rarely seen with N95 on in the public. This means either the patients are resting at home or most of us are healthy. With the first confirmed flu case identified in Singapore yesterday morning (and more that's announced earlier on), it is essential that everyone exercise personal responsibilities such as maintain hygiene level and wearing a mask when necessary.
kudos to the creator of the hilarious fan-subbed parody below! ;D
i think it reminded us to stay cheerful and hopeful amidst the influenza trouble.

Graciousness Drive. or Driving People to Graciousness?
Worried over getting snapped on camera by stompers for not giving up the seat with that exquisite, clear cut label that states "priority seat"? I would say some of these are redundant cases which may be misunderstood by the originator or simply, they just want to help increase awareness of the situation by creating news.
Recently, the graciousness campaign has been launched to educate and promote nice things that commuters can do to make everyone's journey enjoyable. On top of which, some suggested that fines and penalties should be imposed.
Driving people to graciousness? I think fines and penalties will make graciousness not so gracious. If there were to be enforcement officers telling off inconsiderate commuters to give up their seat for the needy, they would have 101 ungenuine reasons (oh i'm sick or injured, i'm really really exhausted.. when in fact, i'm not and i can't really be bothered) for them to occupy the seat.
Furthermore, a scene would be created if they do not cooperate and it doesn't make everyone happy. It won't be a win-win situation for all. And if the situation were to escalate, it would be ugly for all parties. Stompers (or curious commuters) would have a great time snapping away and uglier news would surface out of it.
Give the campaign some time, educating the mass takes time and patience. Great job for those who are fulfilling their part towards the succession of the campaign.

photography?
it's 3 more weeks to go! :D
gonna shift some of my things around in the room to make space for the bulk of equipments that i've brought home and bringing home soon (yep, there's more! :S)
my camera has been sitting inside the dry cabinet for quite some time already. it's value depreciated as well. from $1xxx to $xxx. nevermind. it's still a very capable camera that brought me lots of great photos and memories.
lots of people are giving up their compact cameras and going for DSLRs. nowadays, it's very common to see just anyone hanging a DSLR around their neck, Canon, Nikon... you name it. the trend is still growing, and user groups getting larger.
haha. kindda miss those days when i shoot with a theme in mind and sending in photos for competition :x
baby's midyear over, next up is Chinese Os. haha.. my Chinese is like "half-bucket-water" lah, so can't help her much. ALL THE BEST BABY! put in your best effort ah :)
7 days to our 5th month.
i love you, baby ;)
